Cubierta Vittoria Corsa Pro + Latex Binnenband

Do you want the ride feel of a genuine racing tyre, but prefer to ride with an inner tube rather than tubeless? If so, this Vittoria set is made for you! You get the Corsa Pro tyre – Vittoria’s fastest road bike tyre with a supple 320 TPI cotton casing – together with the Competition Latex inner tube, which Vittoria finds the best match for it. This means you will be riding on a tyre that comes very close to what the pros have on their bikes, but with the convenience of an inner tube.

The set is available in 28 and 29 mm. The 29 mm is designed for today’s increasingly wider internal rim widths; the ETRTO sets requirements for the minimum tyre width per rim width, and a 28 mm tyre is too narrow on such a wide rim. With the 29 mm, you will have the narrowest – and therefore most aerodynamic – tyre that still fits your rim. If you have a narrower rim, the 28 mm will also fit.

If you already have an inner tube you are happy with, or would prefer a different size, the Vittoria Corsa Pro road bike tyre is available separately in 26, 28 and 30 mm. If you’d prefer to ride tubeless, choose the Vittoria Corsa Pro G2 TLR road bike tyre, which is tubeless-ready, whereas the Corsa Pro from the current set is not.

Race Formulation with Graphene + Silica

This rubber compound has been developed for professional racing, offering low rolling resistance on the straights and plenty of grip in corners, on both dry and wet road surfaces.

320 TPI cotton casing

The fine cotton carcass makes the tyre supple, comfortable and lightweight. The tyre is electrically cured and seamless, which, according to Vittoria, also improves aerodynamics. There is a puncture-resistant strip beneath the tread and an extra protective layer at the bead, reducing the likelihood of punctures.

Competition Latex inner tube

Natural latex is highly elastic; the inner tube deforms quickly and springs back immediately, with minimal energy loss. This provides greater comfort and lower rolling resistance, and Vittoria compares the feel to that of a tubular tyre, but in a standard clincher.

Compatible with:

• Road bikes with 28 inch (700c) wheels, ETRTO 622. You can choose between 700x28c (28-622) and 700x29c (29-622).
• Narrower rims: inner rim widths up to 23 mm > the 28 mm. Wider rims: inner rim widths up to 25 mm > the 29 mm (a 28 mm tyre is too narrow according to ETRTO requirements).
• The inner tube supplied (700x25/29c) fits both versions, as it covers tyre widths from 25 to 29 mm.
• Rims with a Presta valve opening: The inner tube has a 60 mm Presta valve with RVC (removable valve core).
• Hookless rims.

Not compatible with:

• Tubeless set-ups without inner tubes – the Corsa Pro tyre in this set is not tubeless-ready.
• Wheels with a size other than 28 inch (622), such as 26 inch or 27.5 inch mountain bike wheels.
• Rims with a large valve opening for car valves – the inner tube has a Presta valve.
• Tall rims for which a 60 mm valve is too short – in this case, you will need a valve extender.

Look at the side of your current tyre for the size, for example 28-622 or 700x28C – the 622 must match. Look up the internal width of your rims in your wheels’ specifications and compare it with Vittoria’s ETRTO table. Measure the height of your rims in front of the valve: The valve must protrude far enough for you to fit your pump head onto it. Also bear your weight in mind: For the 28 mm tyre, the maximum load is 80 kg per tyre (manufacturer’s specification). Your weight, plus the bike and luggage, is distributed across two tyres, with slightly more on the rear tyre.
